The simple and rudimentary nature of Robert Bringhurst's text evoked nostalgia for my childhood. I was inspired to frame the text in such a way that it compares the act of learning about typography to learning how to read or write. I was largely inspired by antique American sampler quilts and workbooks and created 'typographic quilts' using letterforms.
